Story
As many of you know, my brother Daniel Crofts was involved in a serious incident on 13th January 2025 that changed his life — and our lives, forever. He sustained severe burns to 45% of his body, including his face and needed to be intubated immediately. Daniel was airlifted to Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield by the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, a service that literally saved his life.
The incredible team that attended Daniel that day — Dr. Alan, Paramedic Chris, and pilots Tim and Llewis — acted quickly and professionally when every second counted.
Daniel was placed into an induced coma for 16 days and in those early days, his body fought hard just to survive. Severe burns place huge strain on the body and his condition was critical.
Thankfully, Daniel pulled through. He spent time in a rehabilitation center where he had to relearn how to walk and he smashed every goal, returning home sooner than expected.
He also suffered a devastating shoulder injury, leaving his arm and shoulder disconnected and he’s still awaiting surgery to repair it. This is called heterotropic ossification of a rotator cuff injury and ended up with alopecia.

To give back to the service that saved his life, on Saturday 25th July, a small group of us — including Daniel — will be climbing the Yorkshire Three Peaks to raise money for the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance.
This will be a challenge for all of us but especially for Daniel with his ongoing injury. However, he’s determined to push through and believes he can do it.
If you’d like to join us, please feel free!
If you are able to donate anything at all, it would be hugely appreciated.
Every contribution helps ensure this lifesaving service can continue to be there for others when they need it most.
Thank you so much for your support.

The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance is one of the UKs leading Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) Charities, funded purely by the generosity of people like you!
In 2024 their crews attended 1724 life changing missions. They provide the equivalent of an A&E department directly to the scene of some of the most serious of incidents and devastating injuries across Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.
They are not part of the NHS and not funded by the Government. With each mission costing an average of £4,000, the charity needs to raise in excess of £13million each year to stay by our side when we need them most. They simply can't be there without our support.
