I have worked at the YMCA for nearly 23 years. I work in school-aged childcare and see the benefits of our Annual Campaign daily. Youth that wouldn't normally be able to attend our programs due to cost are able to come and build lasting friendships and have a supportive environment to thrive. I also help out in other departments and see the bond that our members and staff have with each other and other members. WE are a family and a community of support. My closest friendships have come from my many years of employment and involvement at the YMCA. I can be shopping, at dinner or at a sporting event and will be approached by former "Y-kids" and their parents, staff or members. It is a heartwarming experience to know you made a difference in their life, even if for a brief moment. Please consider donating to this cause as I have. No amount is too small.
