Story
The team of staff and patients at Cygnet Acer Clinic have chosen to fundraise throughout 2026 for a chosen Charity of the Year.
We were keen for our chosen charity of the year to be non-profit, local and independent; and put the choice of charity to majority vote with an an anonymous polling station. The winner of the majority vote was Chesterfield Animal Rescue!
Chesterfield Animal Rescue are a no-kill, non-profit organisation founded in July 2012 by a team of animal lovers dedicated to saving the lives of as many dogs and cats as possible each year, through rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming animals. They rely on donations, and are fundraising to buy their own centre to continue to help animals over the years.
As a group of animal lovers; this is the perfect charity for Cygnet Acer Clinic to support and our patient group are excited to make a meaningful difference to the lives of animals locally and to the charity. On learning about our intention to develop a charity partnership, Chesterfield Animal Rescue said “oh my gosh that's absolutely amazing! Thank you ever so much, this means the world to us and will help us to save even more lives. You're all absolutely incredible”.
The team plan a year of fundraising activities throughout 2026, including hiking, an auction, bake sales and a sky dive! We would love your support in reaching and exceeding our fundraising goals for Chesterfield Animal Rescue, to contribute to continuing to save and optimise the lives of animals, and helping them get their own centre!
