🏔️ Our Ultimate 3 Peak Challenge 🏔️

Jack Watts got the unimaginable news that he had stage 4 brain cancer in April 2023. Despite a terrifying prognosis, Jack has been fighting hard.

He has defied the odds time and time again. He’s seen milestones in his son’s first year, married his beloved Charlotte, made memories with family, friends and Police colleagues- his fight is hard! Cynthia Spencer has supported Jack with pain management and inpatient care in the recent months.

Jacks strength is admirable. To honour this strength we’ve decided to complete the Three Peaks Challenge in 24 hours (starting 7am on 31st May). This is a huge challenge for us amateur walkers. It involves climbing the highest peaks in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike), and Wales (Snowdon) within a short timeframe and very limited sleep. It covers a total ascent of 3,000 meters and 23 miles. It’s the ultimate test of endurance, pushing our limits with only five weeks to prepare. But we want to challenge ourselves, and fight hard, just as Jack does every single day.

Cynthia Spencer Hospice provides inpatient care, outpatient services, wellbeing services, Hospice@Home, lymphoedema services and palliative care services with a clinical nurse specialist service. Treating patients in Northants with kindness, care and dignity and providing support for loved ones.

The cost of running the hospice services across Northamptonshire is over £11 million. Every year a percentage of this money comes from the generous support of sponsors.
