Story
Having faced the threat of homelessness a few times over the course of my life and being lucky enough to have had friends and family intervene when public services were not available I fully support this (and many charities) whom it often falls to make such a lifeline of a provision available to those in need.
Every night in Barnet, people are walking - not home to a warm bed, but through quiet streets and cold doorways searching for somewhere safe to rest.
Across our borough, people walk miles each day to find food, shelter, medical care, and safety, often staying awake through the night because sleeping doesn’t feel safe.
That’s why I’m taking part in Walk In Their Shoes for Homeless Action in Barnet.
This walk isn’t about distance, it’s about understanding the real lives behind every sleeping bag.
HAB provides frontline outreach, practical support, advice, and compassion, helping people move from crisis towards stability.
Your donation will help to fund the winter night shelter, and/or provide warm meals, essentials, outreach, and housing support. Even a small gift can make a real difference.
By supporting this fundraiser, you’re helping turn long, lonely walks into journeys back to safety, dignity, and hope. Please give what you can. Thank you for your kindness and support.
