Story
In summer 2027, I’m taking on the Dart10k - one of the UK’s most iconic open-water swimming challenges and often described as the London Marathon of swimming.
Growing up in Devon, I’ve been truly blessed to spend so much of my life swimming in and around the beautiful waters of Devon. Swimming has given me so much - from a love of the outdoors and the freedom of being in the water, to unforgettable experiences and a real sense of connection to where I grew up.
Now, I want to use something I love to help give that same opportunity to children who might not otherwise have it.
That’s why I’m raising money for Level Water, a brilliant charity that gives children with disabilities the opportunity to learn to swim.
Swimming can be so much more than simply learning a life skill. It can support physical development, build confidence and independence, and give children the opportunity to develop socially and emotionally. For children with disabilities, access to the water can be truly life-changing.
I love what Level Water stands for: using swimming as a vehicle to help children grow in confidence, develop physically and emotionally, and ultimately change their lives for the better.
And I know that creating that kind of long-lasting impact can’t be done in isolation. It takes people coming together, to support the charity and help make these opportunities possible.
So, in 2027, I’ll be swimming 10km down the River Dart - taking on a huge personal challenge in a place that means a lot to me - while hopefully helping create an opportunity for a child to experience the joy, freedom and confidence that swimming has given me.
If you can, please sponsor me. Every donation, big or small, will help Level Water give more children with disabilities the opportunity to learn to swim and change their lives for the better.
Thank you so much for your support. 💙🏊
