Story
On Saturday 9th May I'm going to be abseiling 418ft down the world's tallest abseil tower - the National Lift Tower in Northampton - to raise money for Crossways Counselling Service in Haslemere.
Crossways is a small, local charity offering counselling & psychotherapy services to adults, couples and young people aged 11-18 who would otherwise be unable to access or afford this vital support.
I'm lucky enough to be a Trustee there so I see the brilliant work our counsellors do every day - supporting people through some of their darkest times facing grief, depression, relationship issues and the aftermath of physical, emotional or sexual abuse.
Because we're a small charity we rely on donations to be able to provide our services - our counsellors are all volunteers but we still need to find around £40k each year to pay for the basic costs of running the charity.
So, any donation - no matter the size - will make a big difference to us and help us to support more people when they need us the most.
