Story

The Teignmouth Festive Walk in the Sea has been held annually on Boxing Day for the last 40 years and raises money for the RNLI. The event includes a Fancy-dress Competition which will be judged by the Mayor of Teignmouth, followed by a warmup session on the beach at 11:20 and the big Splashdown taking place at 11:30.

All the money raised from sponsorship and donations will go to support Teignmouth’s volunteer lifeboat crew who provide a 24-hour search and rescue service 365 days a year along the South Devon Coastline. It costs in the region of £56k a year to run and maintain the service in Teignmouth, all of which comes from the generous donations of the public.

Your contribution will help to fund the selfless work of our volunteer lifeboat crew in Teignmouth, by doing so you will be helping to save lives around our coast and will be providing the best equipment possible to ensure the safety of our volunteers.
