Minstead Trust changes lives. We provide support, training and employment opportunities for people with learning disabilities. They gain skills and confidence that help them live more independently and happily as valued members of society.

Story

As a family, Andy, Cath, George, Marie and Georgie are abseiling the Spinnaker in order to raise money for Minstead Trust. For those that know us, you will know that Minstead Trust is a charity close to our hearts, and has had a huge impact on our family. Josh has been attending Minstead for many years and it has given him the quality of life we all hope to have. Minstead have empowered Josh to develop his talents, explore a variety of opportunities and grow into a well rounded, independent man. Minstead Trust do vital work for people with learning difficulties, their families and the community, and we would really like to raise as much money as possible to support them in continuing to provide this incredible environment.

We are abseiling the tower, which is a 100 metre descent down the side of Portsmouth’s iconic landmark, on the 2nd June 2024! Between the five of us, we are very nervous but excited to take this challenge on!

Minstead Trust supports people with Learning Disabilities so that they may live fulfilled lives as independently as possible.

We believe that everyone has the potential to achieve their aims and aspirations if given the right support, training and environment.

Minstead Trust provides training in work skills, life skills and health and well being at Minstead Lodge, in Portsmouth, at Furzey Gardens and in the Community.
