As a company, we set out a plan to help raise over £20,000 for charity throughout the year. There are so many worthy charities to support, but for 2023/24 we decided we would support the Alzheimer’s Society.

At the start of the year, we started to work on a really exciting project that aims to help dementia in the elderly, and although we can’t talk too much about the project till next year, the research we needed to do to work on the project really highlighted the number of people that are affected by this awful illness, not only the people who have it but also the people around them. So, it became a natural choice for our 2023/24 charity work.

1 in 3 people will develop Alzheimer’s and Dementia causing many problems:

Dementia has over 200 different types. Each type of dementia stops a person’s brain cells from working in specific areas such as memory, cognitive ability, communication and many other different ways.

Alzheimer’s is a type of Dementia that effects peoples memory, thinking and reasoning, language, how they see and hear things and their mood.

People suffering from this disease will eventually need full-time care and support with daily living and personal care, such as eating, washing and dressing.
