*Zakat, Sadaqah, all donations*
“You will never achieve righteousness until you spend from that which you love. And whatever of it you donate, Allah is All-Knowing” - Al Quran, 3:94
Alhamdulillah, we have been blessed to see another Ramadan, another chance for us to improve ourselves and get closer to Allah SWT, one of the best ways being charity in this Dunya which will also benefit us in the Aakhirah. We are told in Surah al-Hadid that charity is a loan to Allah SWT, who multiplies and then gives it back to us, and in Surah al-Dhariyah that it is the right of the needy to seek financial assistance from us, and therefore it is our Quran mandated duty to give charity to them.
We are requesting in this Holy Month of Ramadan for the community to come together and aid our more needy members, something that is collectively Fardh upon the Ummah: redistributing what Allah SWT gave us to those who need it more than, as the Prophet Muhammad SAW did in his life.
We run on a 100% donation policy, never even using charity funds for filing and administrative requirements: every penny donated is applied in the charity projects, the current one being in Trahiya, Pakistan.
Even a few pounds can make a difference, and the Prophet Muhammad SAW told us that one hand should not know what the other has given of charity. Alhamdulillah, on this platform we have the possibility to give without anyone seeing how much we have put in the collection tub at Jummah, or without an announcement to the whole mosque.
Al Burhan Welfare Trust is a registered UK charity promoting the welfare of orphans and the needy Allah SWT has allowed us to establish a building equipped with healthcare access, a secondary school to GCSE, Madrassah, and Masjid for girls in an underdeveloped and rural area in Pakistan. This work is done to provide healthcare and education free of cost to those with no financial or logistical means.
Please make dua that Allah SWT allows us to continue our efforts in His way and in the mission of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, and may Allah SWT bless you all.
Ramadan Kareem ❤️
