Story
I can’t quite believe I’m doing this! I haven’t ridden a bike in years and in my first attempt made it half a mile before having to get off and walk! BUT the cause is so worthwhile, I can’t not get involved.
Cornwall Hospice Care gave us all a chance to make some last, happy, fond memories with Dad. 👨🏻 Trips to the beach, pub lunches, a few weeks back home were all made possible by the wonderful team. The same team helped us through the darkest times with endless patience, kindness and compassion. And this wasn’t the first time, with my grandparents - Ningy and Pops - receiving care from them as well.
So, cycling 327 miles across France and Cornwall is the least I can do to give back so another family has the same chance to say goodbye peacefully.
Just £24 will pay for an hour of nursing; £56 pays for a specialist doctor for and hour. But truly, every little donation helps ❤️ thank you 🙏🏼
Our purpose is to provide compassionate, specialised end of life care for patients, their families and carers at the time when they need it most. Together with our local community in Cornwall we will continue to make every day matter.
We strive to develop and secure the resources necessary to achieve this, both now and in the future. With only 17% of our funding coming from Cornwall's NHS Commissioners, the rest is raised with the support of the people of Cornwall and beyond - thank you all.
