Story
COPS a is a massively important charity to the policing family, to know there is support for your loved ones if the unthinkable happens, and unfortunately the unthinkable happens to far too many.
Over the past few years I have been extremely honoured to meet some of survivors and see the work COPS does. I feel very humbled to be able to play a small part in trying to make their lives a little easier by fundraising for such an amazing charity.
So this year the family and I will be taking on 20 different walks, one for every year COPS have been supporting the families of fallen officers and staff. The final walk we will do will be from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle, it would be absolutely amazing if any one is able to help me make a small difference.
COPS provides peer support opportunities and access to counselling services to help surviving family members (‘survivors’) rebuild their shattered lives.
"Your loss is a part of who you are but COPS helps you realise that it doesn’t define you. We are all one big family."
Since its foundation in 2003, COPS has helped hundreds of police families devastated by the loss of a loved one who died on duty.
