We are a dedicated team of telephone bankers, united in our mission to support a cause that is incredibly important to us: Achalasia Action. Between us, throughout May, we will be walking a total of 606 miles, covering the distance between all of our locations across the country, to raise awareness and funds for this vital charity.

Achalasia is a rare swallowing condition that severely impacts the ability to eat and drink. It affects the muscles in the oesophagus, leading to painful symptoms such as choking, coughing fits, malnutrition, and even anxiety and depression. Unfortunately, there is no cure for Achalasia; only treatments exist to alleviate its debilitating symptoms.

In 2022 our team member and friend Brandon was diagnosed with Achalasia. He is now stage 4 and lives with the constant pain and complications caused by this nasty illness. Unfortunately for Brandon the illness has progressed at a very quick rate. He has exhausted any available treatment and now relies on pain relief before the next stage of being fed via a tube. This will alter his life drastically for the worse, and devastatingly has reduced his life expectancy. He's 27 years old.

Between us we will be walking over 600 miles across the month of May - the distance from Brandon's house, via all of our locations across the country, and back to Brandon's for a virtual cuppa!
