Story
We're taking on the National 3 Peaks Challenge in just 24 hours to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association.
OP Mobility Edison Road and Measham have joined together to fund raise for the MND Association.
The plan is to hike the 3 National peaks in 24 hours starting at Ben Nevis (1345 meters) and then travelling to Scafell Pike (978 meters) and finally onto Yr Wyddfa or Snowdon (1085 meters). This is going to be both a physical and mental challenge with limited sleep and plenty of blisters and aching muscles.
This charity and event has a personal connection to Neil from the Measham site, in late 2024 his Mum was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease and given a terminal prognosis of just 6 months, as the weeks and months passed the disease deprived her of the ability to communicate, eat, swallow and finally breathe without assistance, leading to her untimely death in October 2025.
There is currently no cure for MND, six people per day are diagnosed with MND in the UK
Every step, climb, and mile traveled is dedicated to supporting those living with MND and helping fund vital care, support, and research.
