The Acorn Rehabilitation Unit is holding a coffee morning in aid of Barnsley Hospital Charity Breast Care Appeal.

On the 14th of November, come join in for some cake and games to raise money for the Breast Care Appeal and the transformation of the Breast Unit.

Around 7,381 patients are seen annually in the unit with a variety of symptoms, including breast lumps, nipple changes and lumps in the armpit. This equates to around 142 patients per week and, of those, an average of around 250 breast cancer patients are treated annually. Ongoing appointments such as with Breast Care Nurses, prosthetic expert and doctors take place within this unit.
