Virtual London Marathon · 21 April 2024

Acorn Enterprises, the trading arm of the Jersey Employment Trust, is here to provide employment, training and development opportunities for people with a disability or long-term health condition.

Story

Michael Hampshire and Tony Osborne are taking part in the Virtual London Marathon to raise money for Acorn Enterprises, where they both work. Every penny goes back into life-changing work and training opportunities for people with a disability or long-term health condition.

Michael is celebrating being pain-free for the first time in five years after having spinal fusion surgery this year. He completed the Virtual London Marathon last year by doing laps of Queens Valley. ‘When I did it last year, I couldn’t believe I’d done it.’

Since his 45th birthday, Tony has been doing the Island Walk every fifth ‘big’ birthday and celebrated his 60th in 2023 by completing all 48 miles.

They would love to raise enough money to clear Acorn's Amazon Wishlist.
