Story
We successfully made it to Canterbury on Monday afternoon having led our much loved Steady Group through London and Kent to Canterbury to raise funds for the Connection at St Martin's work with rough sleepers in London. Adam's involvement with this charity started in 1996, and Tony since about 2012.
Every £100 raised could fund 2 people's stay in accommodation for a night, an ‘Art is Therapy Session’ for up to 20 people experiencing homelessness, or 50 hot meals for people in need.
Our commitment to the charity stems from seeing how it blends care and compassion with challenge, helping those who are sleeping rough to build the skills and relationships to find a more settled life. One of the features of the pilgrimage is the fact that it gives roles to those who are previous recipients of the Connection's support. Some of those who help run it have lived on the streets in the past.
Please support us by donating. JustGiving will suggest you add a "tip" to your donation. This does not go the Connection. We suggest you reduce this to zero so that every penny that you give goes to the Connection.
