I’m taking on a 55km ultra marathon in the beautiful Lake Districy to raise money for Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Charity — a cause that’s close to my heart.

My daughter was born in their care, and over the years several members of my family have received treatment and support from the hospitals too.

Like so many others, we’ve relied on the dedication, skill and kindness of NHS staff at some of life’s most important and challenging moments.

This run is my way of giving something back. Every kilometer will be tough (no doubt!), but nowhere near as tough as the challenges faced by patients and staff every day.

If you’re able to donate, you’ll be helping support services, equipment and care that make a real difference for local people across Warrington and Halton.
