On the 11th July, I will be cycling the furthest coast to coast points in the UK. Starting in St Davids Wales and finishing in Lowestoft Suffolk. The route is approximately 400miles long and includes around 20,000ft of elevation.
My aim is to complete this challenge within approximately 35 hours. It's a big challenge as typically people tend to take on this route over a course of 4-5 days.
My main reason and motivation is to raise money for St Barnabas Hospice. A local independent charity who supports more than 12,000 people across Lincolnshire affected by a life-limiting or terminal illness each year.
St Barnabas Hospice deliver free, high-quality, compassionate end-of-life care and support to patients, their families and carers. They aim to enable them to live as fully as they are able for however many days, weeks or months they have left.
St Barnabas Hospice provides all patient care free of charge. It costs the hospice approximately £40,000 each day to operate, relying heavily on community donations.
I will be riding the coast to coast in support of my Dad who is currently battling lung cancer and also in honour of my wife’s auntie, Jackie Holvey who sadly passed away from cancer in September last year after a courageous fight.
By making a donation we can help ensure that families continue to have access to the same incredible care, compassion and comfort that St Barnabas Hospice so greatly delivers.
Thankyou so much for your support.
