Story
Hello, it's that time again.
For, like, the 5th time, I am putting myself through all 13.1 miles of the Great North Run in order to raise money for Mind.
Mental health problems impact so many more people than most of us realise, with many people enduring them quietly and continuously. Mind exists to make sure those people aren’t left dealing with it alone, offering support, information, and advocacy when it’s most needed.
I can personally attest to how vital the work of mental health charities is, but with so many other visible horrors in the world right now funding for them feels increasingly marginalised.
A half-marathon is self-inflicted, but struggling with your mental health is not. If you’re able to donate, you’ll be supporting work that helps people feel understood, supported, and taken seriously at moments when that can make all the difference. Thanks for reading, and thank you even more if you can help.
