Hi my name is Adam, I am 37 years old and live locally here in Newtownards. I'm trying to raise some funds for a mission trip to Malawi in August with Vision International Ministries, Reg Charity no 106627.

I am planning on doing some frighteningly crazy cliff jumps with Causeway Coastering on the North Coast ( Im shaking even at the thought of it )and would love any support and a few more crazy people to participate with me!

Any money raised will help the ongoing work out in Malawi and also a new project which I feel I've been called to lead.

The project I've been giving the opportunity to lead is a Football / Bible Camp for a week in August, Coaching Football and starting up an under 12's team. To say I am excited to be called to use my skills for God's work is an understatement, Im so thankful to God for every opportunity.

A bit about about me.

I haven't always lived the life I am living now, I have suffered a lot of trauma in my life which led to several years of addiction and mental health struggles with no real hope ,peace or purpose in life.

I gave my life to Jesus around 5 years ago and from that moment on my life has completely changed.Through my faith I have been set free from addiction and experienced true healing with my mental health.Were I once struggled I have now found hope, peace , purpose and a new direction in life. All only possible because of Jesus Christ.

I've always had a passion for football and played for lots of local teams over the years.Currently I am a coach for Ards Academy FC, along with coaching in some of the local primary schools.

Coaching has given me a way to connect with young people and reshape my character.This has all began with a simple step of faith ,which is now a deep relationship with God.

Gods grace ,love and guidance has shaped who I am today.

Above all I love God and have a desire to share with others what he has done in my life.Going to Malawi is an opportunity to live that calling out.To serve ,connect and share the hope and transformation that comes through Jesus.

Whilst in Malawi, we shall be in Mtakatata Village in the Dedza Regions. Vision Ministries have been working in this area for 20 years showing the people God's love in practical ways. They have 4 Schools with over 2000 students attending across them.

Emily Garrett Village Project consistng of a Primary School and Grace Community Church @ Chicombe, this is extremely rural area 2 hours into the bush

Peacehaven Pre school, Day Care & Primary School, Mtakatata

Olive Grace Academy Secondary School, Ngozi

VIM also has a feeding programme with approx 150 children many of who are orphans attending the programme. These children gather together for feeding & games several times a week an to a special Sunday school service to worship and listen to bible stories ran by Pastor Issac who makes the2 hour journey in from Grace Church every week!

We shall be running the Football & Bible camp week with football training and bible teaching sessions with plently of fun, laughter and worship with minimum 200 children, these children shall be fed daily too.

At the end of the week we plan to have a mini tournament and a PARTY!!
