Story
On Saturday 26th April I am taking the Mallorca 312. Indeed, the clue is in the name....312kms of riding in a day with 5000ft of climbing. A mere 200miles which with an estimated 12-14 hours in the saddle, will be a big challenge mentally and physically.
I have never ridden that far in a day, I have no idea whether I can do it and if I'm honest with myself, I am well undercooked in the training department!
Assuming I survive and haven't thrown my bike away, I am then taking part in Rival Ride, a multiday cycle ride, starting at Franklin's Gardens, home of Northampton Saints and finishing at The Stoop in Twickenham for the final home game of the season over the weekend of 5th-6th June 2026
I'm taking on these challenges in support of the Harlequins Foundation so they can continue delivering their life-changing work in the local community and helping young people to achieve their full potential.
It is always tough but with current geo-political events, getting a start life is getting even tougher for the young.
From educational and employability programmes to inclusion and wellbeing, their focus is on inspirational, sustainable and transformative solutions that tackle inequality, poor health and the challenges facing the most vulnerable in society. Through these initiatives, and with your support, they are able to improve the outcomes for thousands of young people and give them the best chance to succeed in life.
Thank you for your support!
