Adam's "10 in 10" challenge · 5 October 2024

We're raising funds to provide urgent therapy for those at risk of suicide. NHS waits of 5 months are too long. Our goal is to deliver support within 24 hours. Support our Hike with Mike Foundation challenge 10in10 or 5in5 scaling the Lake District.

Story

Hi everyone! This October, I'm (hopefully) completing the Lake District "10 in 10" challenge - it involves scaling 10 peaks in Lakeland - it's a 16 mile hike but more importantly one which contains 6,500ft of climbing (that's about 1.5x the normal Ben Nevis track)... and it has to be completed in 10 hours or less!

It's all to raise money for a fantastic mental health charity (detail on that below), so any contribution you're able to make would be hugely appreciated. 😊

We are on a mission to provide immediate therapy for those at risk of suicide. With NHS waiting lists stretching up to 5 months, many cannot afford to wait. That’s why we’re committed to offering support within 24 hours, ensuring no one in crisis is left without help.

To make this possible, we’re taking on our next big challenge summiting 10 peaks in just 10 hours in the stunning Lake District including Causey Pike, Sail, Crag Hill, Wandope, Whiteless Pike, High Snockrigg, Robinson, Dale Head, High Spy and Maiden—a grueling 26km (16.1 miles) trek.

This is no easy feat. Starting at 7 am, we’ll push our limits to complete this challenge within 10 hours. Every step we take represents our commitment to saving lives and ensuring immediate access to life-saving therapy.
