Yorkshire 3 Peaks - 1 Peak Challenge 2025 · 5 September 2025

Martin House Children's Hospice provides vital care to help children and young people with a life-limiting condition, along with their families, to live well and fully, offering the best possible end of life care and support to the family in bereavement.

Story

On Friday 5 September, we’ll be taking on the iconic – and admittedly challenging Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge. While most of the team will be completing all three peaks, I’ll be joining in for the ‘1 Peak Challenge’.

Once my colleagues have reached the second peak, I’ll meet them in Ribblehead to join them in the ascent up and down Whernside.

All together this is a 24-mile hike that will take our group across the three regional peaks, Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, completing a total ascent of 1585m! A very challenging but ultimately rewarding event in support of Rhodar’s main company charity for the year, Martin House Children’s Hospice.

Martin House Children’s Hospice, based in Boston Spa, Wetherby, provides family-led hospice care - free of charge - for children and young people with life-limiting illnesses across North, West and East Yorkshire.
