Cure Leukaemia will head to Australia with a team of inspiring runners taking on the Abbott World Series TCS Sydney Marathon 2025 to help raise vital funds for blood cancer patients.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!

On Sunday 31st August, I'll be running the Sydney Marathon in support of Cure Leukaemia - a UK-based charity, established in 2003, dedicated to funding research and clinical trials for life-saving blood cancer treatments.

I'll be fundraising in memory of my late grandad, Peter Kemshell, who sadly passed away after a 5 year battle with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia (CLL).

My grandad was fortunate to have lived a long and fulfilling life, reaching the age of 89. However, unfortunately, blood cancer can affect anyone, at any age, with a new diagnosis occurring every 27 seconds worldwide.

All donations will support the incredible work of Cure Leukaemia, particularly helping to fund the ATICUS Network (Accelerating Trials In Children Undergoing Stem Cell Transplant), which launched in September 2024.

The ATICUS Network, one of Cure Leukaemia's many key initiatives, is a pioneering collaboration between 11 leading UK children's hospitals, designed to revolutionise clinical trial access for children battling blood cancer - https://www.cureleukaemia.co.uk/community-blog/news/cure-leukaemia-launches-aticus/

Any donation, big or small, will go a long way in helping Cure Leukaemia continue to drive vital progress and improve hope for those affected by blood cancer worldwide.

Best,

Adam
