Starting in 2022 we decided to take on the 4 rounds of golf in one day challenge for charity at Appleby Golf Club, doing the same in 2023. This year at Tony Ousby, Chris Beckwith and I have decided that wasn’t enough golf, so we are taking on the marathon golf day of 100 holes in a day (5 and a 1/2 rounds) walking the full 100 holes with only a buggy carrying our bags and supplies.

On average more than one person a week dies by suicide in Cumbria, more than double the amount that die on our County's roads. Every death by suicide is an avoidable tragedy.

Suicides are preventable. We need a society where people feel able to reach out for help. Where members our communities have the knowledge and skills to recognise when someone is at risk and to know how to offer support. And services that are accessible and effective.
