Adam's fundraiser for Bone Cancer Research Trust

Adam Linley is raising money for Bone Cancer Research Trust

Series of runs

Catherine and her family and friends are hosting events and doing challenges based around things she loves to mark 30 years of being osteosarcoma-free!

Story

To mark 30 years of Catherine being osteosarcoma-free, I'm joining her in raising funds for the Bone Cancer Research Trust, to help ensure they can continue their vital research into primary bone cancer and be there to support patients and their families impacted by this disease.

Catherine is not only the love of my life, but also a massive inspiration. I've always been in awe of her drive and determination as well as her unwillingness to be held back by her physical limitations. Her positivity and optimism are infectious and that's what led me to come up with the Run Back in Time running challenge to contribute to the Hip Hip Hooray campaign.

I started to take running seriously by taking part in weekly Parkruns back in 2014. Since then I've done various 10k runs as well as the London Landmarks half marathon. For this challenge however, I wanted to do something that would contribute to Catherine's campaign, bring back some memories along with pushing (and probably breaking) me in terms of running.

For the Run Back in Time, I am running in places where Catherine has lived all the way back to Birmingham. I'm starting with the Mad Dog 10K in Southport in February 2026, followed by half-marathons in Liverpool, Southampton, Nottingham and finishing in Birmingham in May 2027.
