Basil the kayaking beagle is cycling to raise funds for Elsie Ever After · 19 August 2024

Our vision is that everyone, regardless of location or circumstance, can access bereavement support of their choice. Our mission is to link all existing services and plug the gap where services are lacking, starting with the areas in and around Cheshire.

Story

In all I've made three fundraising canal trips - Horseshoe falls to Newtown, then a friend joined me for Cwmbran to Brecon and then we were joined by rescued beagle Basil (as seen on the BBC reviving Gareth Edwards' flagging media career) who joined us on Ellesmere to Ellesmere Port. I intended to go back and complete Cwmbran to Abercarn but having moved down here I don't think I'll ever see enough water in it so Basil and I are switching codes and cycling a circuit from Cwmcarn forest centre over the hill and picking up the canal at Cwmbran, down to Newport and back up to the head at Cwmcarn. If anyone would care to chip in to help our favourite charity caring for bereaved families we'd be delighted. Thanks for looking at our page - Adam & Basil 🚴🐾
