My name is Adam Newton. I have Ankylosing Spondylitis and Arthritis. I am a Dad of 3 amazing girls, a podcast host, a personal trainer and a keen long distance runner.

I have just completed the Chester Half Marathon which was my first event medication free since picking up my conditions almost 4 years ago.

It has been a long road to get back to where I am now. Mentally and Physically the strongest I have been whilst having my conditions.

I wanted to take this opportunity life has given me by trying to help as many people as possible overcome adversity in life with the help of sports, exercise and movement, which lead to my podcast.

Alongside this I am on a mission to raise as much awareness as possible for AS and PsA. I want to change to way people see Arthritis. Since starting my podcast I have had so many people reach out telling me their experiences and to my surprise a lot of younger people aswell all hoping to be active and live there life.

For those who know me, I love to push myself in life physically and I have been part of a lot of fundraising in my past by completing endurance events and this has always been so rewarding for me.

Although these conditions have taken so much from me, they have also given me so much, which I have come to realise after a long journey.

The conditions have given me a mission, a goal and a purpose beyond myself.

With that I will be completing the Chester Marathon on 5th October 2025 to raise money for Versus Arthritis.

After this event I plan on completing the Chester 50 mile ultra in February and then the Chester 102 mile ultra in April. This will be all of Chester's marathons within a year.
