Hello, my name is Adam and I will be volunteering for a year in Namibia doing teaching and youth development work. I will be heading off this summer after my A-levels to work with the charity Project Trust.

I applied to Project Trust because I love to travel and experience new cultures and environments; I would also love to help young people in these places to have better opportunities in life that they might not normally be given. As you may know, I love sports and music, and hope to be able to use my abilities to teach children new skills.

I need to raise £7,450 to cover my 12 months of volunteering in Namibia. This will cover my flights, accommodation, insurance, visas and a monthly living allowance. I know that my year abroad will provide me with many skills for my future. All of the money raised will go straight to project trust and not to me personally.

I would be very grateful for any donations; I am planning some fundraising events throughout the year including a sponsored walk of the Yorkshire three peaks.
