Story
In October, my colleague and I delivered a van and an ambulance to Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia on behalf of Ukrainian Action Team Devon.
The van was donated to frontline medics in Dnipro — but just six weeks later it was destroyed by a drone strike. Tragically, the passenger lost their life.
The ambulance was donated to a displaced community in Zaporizhzhia after their town and school were destroyed during the Russian advance. We visited their new school in October. Last month, that same school was hit by a missile. The ambulance parked in the grounds had its windows blown out.
Since the invasion, 1 in 6 schools in Ukraine have been damaged or destroyed, and over 25,000 children are now being educated underground.
In March, Team Devon’s volunteers will be delivering another 5 vehicles on their 14th mission, we will then be travelling on to Zaporizhzhia to deliver replacement windows for the damaged ambulance. We will then continue to Dnipro to hand over a replacement evacuation vehicle for the frontline medics, along with a vital cargo of generators, blankets, and anti-drone netting.
💛 We are now fundraising to help Ukrainian Action Team Devon cover the costs of:
• A replacement evacuation vehicle
• Generators
• Replacement ambulance windows
I will cover all other expenses, so every donation goes directly to supporting this mission.
If you are able to help, in any way, it would make a huge difference. The team would be able continue sending this life-saving support, and it would let brave Ukrainians know that we care and have not forgotten or abandoned them
