Story
Hi, My name is Adam and I have lived in Kendal and the Lake District for the past 34 years!
After a lot of deliberation (due to the enormity of the challenge) I applied and was successful in gaining a place on the 2025 Brathay 10in10 team! I have Bob and Rachel (running last year) to thank for this, as I used to teach them and they both suggested I should apply!
I was a keen runner back in 2014 and have always enjoyed sporting challenges, but this is my biggest challenge yet! I have previously completed the Windermere Marathon and eight others back in 2014 plus numerous half marathons and a swimming challenge for Cancer Research last year. To complete 10 marathons in 10 consecutive days will be my hardest test to date. The event begins on Thursday 8th May 2024 through to Saturday 17th May 2024.
Brathay Trust is a Lake District based charity that offers life-changing community programmes to children, young people and families in crisis. Their charitable mission is to design and deliver innovative self-development and support programmes that promote the core social and emotional attitudes, skills and capabilities to enable a lifetime of wellbeing.
Since becoming a father myself I realise the importance of supporting a charity like Brathay Trust.
I’m really looking forward to training over the coming months and preparing for this great event in the place I call home.
All donations are greatly appreciated by myself and Brathay Trust.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
