Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The event

Any one that knows me knows motorcycling is a passion of mine. On the first weekend of may I will be riding c.250 miles (6 hours) to north Wales on Friday 3rd of May, where my good friend has organised a ride throughout Wales where across the Saturday and Sunday I will be covering c.500 miles all over Wales with my three brothers. This will be across mountain, lake and coastal roads followed by the c.250 miles back. So all in all it will be a tiring but worth it c.1000 miles in 4 days and around 24 hours in the saddle.

The Charity

The charity we are riding for is the Domestic Abuse Safety Unit North Wales. DASU do support all demographics of domestic abuse no matter who, however while domestic abuse can be experienced by a range of people, it is gendered and is most frequently perpetrated against women by male perpetrators. DASU is a women led organisation and recognises the importance of being let by women for women.

Their site is on the link attached.

My goal is to try and reach £1000 for the charity, which I will top up by £500 to £1500.

I know the challenge is on a motorcycle and not a physical running or cycling challenge, it is however tiring and physical riding and moving around a big lump of metal for 24 hours and 4 days. So please consider the charity when making your decision in what to donate.
