For the last decade, I've been privileged to attend a number of the TCT concerts at the Royal Albert Hall - seeing the likes of Ed Sheeran, Def Leppard, Underworld, Madness, The Sex Pistols and (this year) My Bloody Valentine.

All incredible shows with incredible artists, performing for an incredible cause.

However, what always leave a mark is the courage and resilience of the young people and their families who take to the stage each evening to share their stories and experiences.

It's humbling.

According to TCT, today, and every day, seven young people in the UK aged 13-24 will hear the words “you have cancer”.

What happens next can affect them for the rest of their lives.

You only get one chance at being young, and those years will shape the person you become – your relationships and career, your confidence and wellbeing, and your ability to pursue your dreams.

TCT's specially trained nurses and youth workers support young people with cancer every step of the way – from the moment they’re diagnosed, through to helping them rebuild their lives after treatment.

They’re the only UK charity dedicated to meeting this vital need.
