24 hour Fitness challenge · 22 February 2024

The Pied Piper Appeal raises money to make a difference to sick and disabled children in Gloucestershire by funding the Children's Centre at GRH, supporting SEND schools, sending children and their families on Wish Holidays and improving experiences with mental health facilities.

Story

On Thursday 22nd February I will be undertaking a 24 hour fitness challenge, changing exercises every hour on the hour from 12pm on Thursday 22nd Feb until 12pm Friday 23rd Feb. I have decided to make this a charity event to help raise funds for The Pied Piper Appeal, a charity that helps sick children & their families all across Gloucestershire.

The Pied Piper Appeal was founded in 1992 by local hairdresser Peter Hickman and £4 million was pledged to build a new Children's Centre at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. The money was quickly raised with the centre opening in 2004.

Since then, The Pied Piper Appeal have continued to fund the Children's Centre along with supporting SEND Schools with equipment and resources, Sending children with life-limiting illnesses and their families on memory making Wish Holidays, and improving children's experience with Mental Health facilities.
