As most of you will know, from the age of 18-23, I struggled with a gambling addiction. I was in denial about it for a long time and always believed when I got that big win that all my problems would be solved but that was obviously never the case.

It ruined what I’d say were the most important years of my life and even though I’m now well over 4 years since my last bet and I’ve completely turned my life around, I’ll never be able to get that time back.

After recently running my 10th half marathon, I’ve now signed up for the full marathon up in York in October later this year. At the time of writing this, the race is 12 weeks today so I’ll be using that time to get in the best possible shape to give it a good go.
