Adam Brown Charity Run · 1 March 2023
Hello Everyone,
My name is Adam Brown, thank you for visiting my Justgiving page. For my 24th birthday this year I will be completing a charity run to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity. I will undertake the challenge of running 24 miles every week (5 weeks) for the whole month of March, clocking up a huge 120 miles total (192km) in order to raise awareness for the 12000 people diagnosed with a brain tumour each year.
I chose this charity because my Nan lost her battle in 2011 to a Glioblastoma Multiforme (GMB4) brain tumour, only a year after her diagnosis. I am dedicated to this challenge to raise as much money and awareness as possible for The Brain Tumour Charity in support of funding research and helping other families in similar situations.
The Brain Tumour Charity is the UK’s largest dedicated brain tumour charity and the greatest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally, funding over £1M into scientific and clinical research to help provide cures and improve diagnosis. Over 12000 people are diagnosed in the UK annually, which is increasing each year. Brain tumours are also the leading cause of childhood cancer deaths in the UK, with over 500 Children and young people dying from the illness every year. The charity is committed to saving and improving lives, moving further and faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour. They’re set on finding new treatments, offering the highest level of support and driving urgent change.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any donations you may be able to provide. Information on what your money will help can be found in the photo galley in the second picture.
