Big City Sleepout 2023 · 7 October 2023

We are looking to get as many people across the City sleeping out over the weekend that marks World Homeless Day (10th October). We are looking for Companies, Churches, Schools, Individuals, Families or Organisations to sleep rough for a night

Story

GCM has;

• Street teams going into the city centre 5 days week offering food, drinks and prayer;

• Retreat – street homeless day centre

• Refresh – a weekly hot lunch service and time for fellowship at St Mary’s Congregational Church;

• Restore- a clothes bank in Renew for clients to come to get fresh clothes, toiletries and emergency provisions,

• Mobile outreach teams support rough sleepers away from the city centre;

• Renew (72 Eastgate Street) - our main offices, drop in centre, Training Centre.

• Our Revive Coffee House in the Eastgate Shopping Centre where we offer employment opportunities to people who have lived experience of homelessness or addictions;

• Refuel – our monthly worship session for staff, volunteers, clients and anyone to come and spend their lunchtime in prayer and praise.

• staff and volunteers with lived experience too who want to give something back.
