Story
After months of training for the London Marathon, I’m really disappointed to share that I’ve had to withdraw due to a knee injury.
This wasn’t an easy decision. Like many runners, I’ve put in early mornings, long miles and a lot of determination to get to the start line. But right now, recovery has to come first.
What hasn’t changed is why I signed up.
I’m incredibly proud to be supporting Step by Step and their mission to prevent youth homelessness. Thanks to the generosity of so many of you, we’ve already raised an amazing amount to help provide safe accommodation, mental health support, and opportunities for young people to rebuild their futures.
And I’m not stopping here.
As soon as I’m physically able, I’ll be completing the full marathon distance and my fundraising page remains open if you’d still like to support this incredible cause.
If you’ve already donated, thank you. Your support is already making a real difference. If you were considering it, there’s still time to help change a young person’s story.
Sometimes its not isn’t about crossing the finish line on the day, it’s about staying committed to the cause, whatever obstacles come your way.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me.
