Story
As a County Councillor in Worcestershire, I’ve made it my mission to improve the lives of vulnerable children, particularly those in care.
I’ve worked hard to promote foster care recruitment because I believe every child deserves a safe, loving home—ideally within their own community.
Too many children are being placed far away due to a shortage of local foster carers, and I’m determined to change that. I’ve championed campaigns, supported carers directly, and pushed for better systems to ensure more children have the stability they need to thrive.
My commitment by running the London Marathon for Barnados is to raise awareness and encourage people to come forward as potential foster carers.
As many of you know the London Marathon isn’t my first rodeo it’s my fifth but it’s a brilliant way to help charities and raise awareness of issues affecting residents.
I’m committed to making a difference and this goes beyond politics. Over the years, I’ve run the London Marathon multiple times, raising thousands for charities close to my heart including Wythall Memory Cafe, Dementia UK, Get A-Head and Brain Research UK. Running has become a powerful way for me to combine personal challenge with meaningful fundraising.
