Story

Run for Mental Health – Support Team Adams Morey!

This October, the team at Adams Morey is hitting the ground running for a cause that matters to all of us — mental health. To mark World Mental Health Day (October 10th), we’re proudly taking part in the Great South Run.

This year, Phil and Colin are lacing up for the Great South Run 5K!

Phil — who’s done a grand total of 14 minutes and 52 seconds of training — is aiming for his fastest 5K ever. To achieve this heroic feat, he’ll need every ounce of motivation… and by motivation, we mean your money. The more you donate, the less chance he has of faking an injury halfway round.

Meanwhile, Colin, an actual athlete (we know, we’re confused too), is casually running the 10-miler the very next day. Because apparently one race just isn’t enough suffering.

So, dig deep, empty your pockets, gather your loose change, and sponsor this brave duo. Your generosity will fuel Phil’s survival and Colin’s second wind — and give us all a good laugh in the process!

Donate today. Every penny helps — mostly with Phil’s physio bill.

We're running, fundraising, and showing up as a team because mental health deserves just as much attention as physical health. Your support — whether you're running with us or cheering from the side-lines — can make a real difference.

Why Mental Health?

Mental health affects us all — it shapes how we think, feel, and handle everyday challenges. Yet far too many people suffer in silence. Suicide remains one of the leading causes of death in the UK, particularly among young adults. That’s why charities like CALM are so vital. They provide free, confidential support for anyone who needs it — no matter what they're going through.

If you or someone you know needs help, please don’t wait:

We believe that open conversations, supportive communities, and access to help can change and save lives.

Why This Run Matters

Taking part in the Great South Run isn’t just about fitness — it’s about showing up for those who can’t. Every step we take and every pound we raise goes directly to CALM, helping fund their life-saving services. Whether you’re running alongside us or donating to the cause, you’re helping to build a future where no one has to face mental health struggles alone.

How You Can Help

• Sponsor Our Runners: Every donation, big or small, helps us get closer to our fundraising goal.

• Join the Team: Want to run the 5K? We’d love to have you with us.

• Spread the Word: Share our page with friends, family, and colleagues — together, we can amplify awareness and support.

Let’s come together as a team — and as a community — to stand up for mental health.

Thank you for your support!

We’re Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), and we’re a suicide prevention charity. We’ve got loads of tools and resources to help people find the support they need, including a life-saving helpline for people who can’t see a way forward, have lost someone to suicide, or are worried about their friends or loved ones.

£12.20 is enough to fund one potentially life-saving call.
