Story
Dementia has had a devastating impact on my family. My father-in-law is living with dementia, my aunt has Alzheimer’s, and I have also lost dearly loved family members to this cruel disease.
It is heartbreaking to watch people you love slowly lose parts of themselves, and to see the effect it has on everyone around them. Dementia doesn’t just affect the person diagnosed; it touches whole families, changing lives in ways that are difficult to put into words.
That is why I am taking on this charity walk - to raise money for vital research, treatment, care and support for everyone affected by dementia. I wanted to do something positive in the face of something so painful, and to play even a small part in helping the fight against this disease.
So this is for Edwin. For Mary. And dearly missed Marie. We love you.
If you are able to donate, I would be incredibly grateful. Every contribution, no matter the size, really does make a difference. Thank you so much for your support.
