Great Manchester Run 2026 · 31 May 2026 ·

Founded in 2014, Dementia Support is a young, unique charity that provides complete dementia services in one community-based hub, known as Sage House. We provide support and information to anyone wanting to know more about how to live well with dementia, both pre and post diagnosis.

Story

I'll be running the Great Manchester Run in memory of my Grandad, John Walder who passed away in October of 2023 after suffering with Dementia for years.

We ran the last 3years Half marathons raising money for Dementia support (£3,000 so far) and aim to raise another £1000 this year.

This year's Great Manchester Run is on Sunday 31st May 2026

Every penny you donate helps us. Dementia is now the leading cause of death in the UK. It’s a devastating and complex condition. 1 in 2 of us will be directly affected by dementia in our lifetime, there is no cure. There are 980,000 people living with dementia in the UK. We at Dementia Support are there for all those who need our help. We reduce loneliness, give the best quality care and provide hope, supporting the whole family.
