Story
Ade sadly lost his brave battle with oesophageal cancer on the 20th August 2024.
During his treatment, we were supported by the Isabel Hospice who provided respite care for both Ade and the family, together with symptom control and pain management. We were also given lots of support from the Living Well team including counselling for our two children.
Ade spent is final days in the in-patient unit where the dedicated doctors, nurses and healthcare support team made him feel comforted, showing him love, kindness and care - which was invaluable to us all.
We would like to request donations to help support the wonderful work they do.
Isabel Hospice provides palliative support to the 370,000 people who live in eastern Hertfordshire.
Hospice care is about helping people to live well for as long as possible and have a good death in the place of their choice when the time comes. Without your help, we could not make this possible for our patients and their families. Each year we care for approx 2,000 people but we know there are even more people that need our help.
