Adele's fundraiser for Wirral Hospice St John's

Adele Povey is raising money for Wirral Hospice St John's

Sahara Desert trek · 18 November 2026

We provide FREE hospice care for adult patients and support for loved ones. Some NHS funding is received but the majority of our income is donated by individuals, families, groups, companies and charitable trusts. Thank you for all of the kind support you are able to give us!

Story

On the 18th November 2026 I will be taking part on a four-day trek across the ever-challenging landscape of one the world’s largest deserts – the Sahara! The challenge will take us on a climb to the top of the enormous Chigaga Dunes where we’ll witness the sunrise over the desert.

The days will be hot and the trekking will be tough which is why this will be such a challenge to me.

Despite the challenge I am really excited to be taking part and to be doing so on behalf of Wirral Hospice St John’s. An amazing hospice which provides care and support to patients across the Wirral who have a life limiting illness. Wirral Hospice costs about 7 million pounds a year to run with the majority needed to be fundraised.

Any support you can give would be hugely appreciated as Wirral Hospice relies so heavily on donations.

Any anonymous donations, please message me so I can say thankyou to you.

Thank you so much and wish me luck!
