Malnutrition is a chronic lack of access to the nutrients the human body needs to work. Treating malnutrition with food is not enough. We need your help to continue providing life-saving care.

Story

Starting on May 29 I will attempt to cycle to from Cambridge to Rome covering the initial 1500km to Florence in 7 days.

All being well I will meet Kate there and she will complete her own challenge by cycling to Rome with me over the next few days, a further 350km.

———————

I have chosen to support Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in order to support the ‘forgotten people’ of the world, those suffering drought in East Africa, victims of the earthquake in Syria and Turkey, refugees on the borders of Europe and the many, many millions more who remain out of the media spotlight but still endure the toughest of conditions for months and years.

Médecins Sans Frontières go to the places where others cannot or choose not to go.

In addition, I would like to support homeless people in Cambridge and Kate has agreed to donate an additional 50% of the sum raised for MSF to Jimmy’s Night Shelter in Cambridge.

As well as providing shelter and food, Jimmy’s has an innovative project that provides single person homes and an address for the homeless to begin their journey back to society.

I appreciate that finances are tight for many people at the moment, but I hope that you can make a donation to support people who need shelter, food and basic medical care; things we take for granted.

Thank you.
