Today, and every day, seven young people in the UK aged 13-24 will hear the words “you have cancer”. By being part of our team in the Royal Parks Half Marathon, you are helping us support every young person through cancer.

Story

Running a marathon definitely wasn’t on my bingo card for 2026. But neither was my little cousin being diagnosed with blood cancer at 21

🥺

From the diagnosis to starting treatment, everything happened so quickly. Watching someone so young go through something so life changing really put everything into perspective and reminded me just how precious life is.

Seeing my cousin face something so unimaginable made me realise how fortunate I am to have a healthy body that’s capable of taking on challenges like running a marathon. It also made me realise that I have the ability and the responsibility to do more where I can!

While I can’t take away what young people with cancer and their families go through, I can play my part by raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust, a charity that supports young people through one of the hardest chapters of their lives. Their specialist nurses and youth workers are there from the moment of diagnosis, throughout treatment, and beyond, helping young people rebuild their lives.

This marathon is for my cousin, for every young person currently fighting cancer, and for the families walking alongside them

If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, I would be incredibly grateful. Every contribution will help ensure more young people receive the support they deserve, and every mile I run will be for them.

Thank you so much for your support 💓💓
