Story

Thanks for visiting our team fundraising page!

In November 2017, Joe Harris, a very good friend of ours, tragically passed away in a car accident whilst completing charity work in South Africa. We became friends through Warwick Lacrosse 9 years ago, played together for 3 years at University, and had some great memories together.

Joseph was patron of the Beer-Harris Memorial Trust, in honour of his uncle, which helps fund community-based projects which in turn help those suffering with severe mental health as well as the promotion of mental health in young adults.

For this reason, we will be attempting to complete the 3 Peaks Challenge in October in his memory. This involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales: Ben Nevis (1,345m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1,085m), within 24 hours.

The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3,064 metres. The total driving distance is 462 miles.

Money raised for the challenge will support community based mental health projects.
