Story

Sacred Giving Refugee Hardship Appeal for Adil

We are raising a restricted hardship grant to support Adil, a young Syrian refugee currently living in poverty. Adil urgently needs assistance to return safely to Turkey so he can begin university and rebuild his life.

Adil fled Syria alone at the age of nine during the height of the war. After walking into Turkey on foot, he was taken in by a Syrian-run orphanage in Gaziantep, where he grew up without family support. Despite the hardship and trauma he has experienced, Adil has remained humble, compassionate and determined to improve his future.

In recent months, Adil attempted to return to Syria in the hope of finding stability, but the country remains devastated by conflict and poverty. He is now unable to support himself or continue his education.

To return to Turkey legally and safely, Adil needs a Turkish visa costing approximately £2,200. This will allow him to:

• Escape poverty and unsafe conditions

• Re-enter Turkey through legal channels

• Begin his university studies

• Secure a better future

Sacred Giving’s charitable objects include relief of poverty, overseas aid, and grant-making to individuals in need. Adil’s circumstances meet these criteria, and the trustees have approved supporting him through a restricted hardship grant.

Thank you for your kindness and support.

May Allah reward you for helping someone in genuine need.
